The right to AWW pension benefits ends:

  • On the day of the death of the AWW pensioner. It is very important to immediately inform SZV after the passing of a pensioner. This is in order to avoid accumulating a debt caused by unrightfully collecting a deceased pensioner’s benefits.
  • When the AWW pensioner reaches the pensionable age.
  • When the AWW pensioner remarries. It is very important to inform the SZV immediately after the marriage has taken place. When the person remarries, the AWW pension will be discontinued the month after the marriage occurred. This is in order to avoid accumulating a debt caused by unrightfully collecting a married pensioner’s benefits. The widower or widow will then be entitled to a lump sum of up to twelve times the monthly AWW pension amount.
