A widow or widower is not eligible for AWW pension benefits when:

• He or she got married after the pensionable age. When the widow or widower is at the pensionable age or over the pensionable age at the time of passing of the spouse.
• When the widow or widower is responsible and has been convicted for the death of their spouse.
