MEDICAL REFERRAL ABROAD

A medical referral is when your General Practitioner (GP) determines that you have a medical condition that needs to be evaluated and possibly treated by a specialist. If the specialist required to treat the illness or medical condition is not available in the Dutch side healthcare system, then a referral to that specialist is called a medical referral abroad.
